LEAP YEAR COURT: Man on M4 drug driving rap claims his friend was behind the wheel
AN OXFORDSHIRE man accused of drug driving denies being in the driver’s seat of a VW Golf pulled over on the M4 by police.
Appearing before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday morning, Darron Borrow, 52, of Moorland Road, Witney, pleaded not guilty to driving while the quantity of cocaine and bye-product benzoylecgonine was above the drug drive limit.
He will say his friend was driving the car when it was stopped at junction 17 of the M4 on March 13 last year.
JPs granted Borrow unconditional bail. A trial date was set for March 30 at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court.
