WORLD Book Day saw crowds of cowboys, indians, Disney characters, dinosaurs, Roald Dahl heroes and heroines, witches, wizards and other costumed youngsters descending on classrooms across Wiltshire.
At Neston Primary School classes were filled with wonderful costumes, while youngsters at Corsham Primary got to hear from author Joffre White on how he creates his characters.
The school has two sites, at Pound Pill and Broadwood, and youngsters at both got the chance to meet Mr White, who lives in Frome and is an Ambassador for Achievement for All.
The school let pupils choose between coming in dressed as their favourite book character or in their pyjamas, ready to hear a bedtime story.
