A BUDDY scheme has been set up to give people a hand during the coronavirus.
Upavon Buddies will support residents of Upavon and Rushall during the time of social distancing.
They will assist people with day-to-day things who may be struggling.
Volunteer for Upavon Tim Turnbull, said: "It kicked off yesterday (March 18) so we're looking for people to help out. A friend of mine set one up nearby so I thought we could do the same. People of Charlton may be joining us too.
"We can help with the collection and delivery of prescriptions, shopping as we have the village shop, dog walking or just be at the phone for a chat for someone who may be lonely or anxious.
"We're hoping to get the word out to everyone."
If you need a buddy or if you're willing to help become a buddy email: Tim Turnbull - timequal@gmail.com or Sarah Williams - williamssvr@att.net for Upavon or for Rushall email: Colin Gale - co_jac@talktalk.net
The group will be handing out leaflets letting people know more.
