THE Underwood Trust has helped get the Wiltshire Community Foundation’s Coronavirus Response Fund off to a flying start with a £30,000 donation.

The Wiltshire and Swindon Coronavirus Response Fund will help voluntary groups across the county deal with effects of the pandemic by raising money for groups helping the most vulnerable people in communities all over the county.

The Underwood Trust, set up to improve the quality of people’s lives and the environment in 1973, has been a long-time supporter of the Wiltshire Community Foundation.

Interim co-chief executive Fiona Oliver said: “This is a wonderful gesture from The Underwood Trust, who have been a long-standing supporter of the Wiltshire Community Foundation. The Trust understands the gravity of the situation for local people and the community groups we support and has acted swiftly. We are incredibly grateful to them.”

Mrs Oliver said: “We are responding quickly to this crisis and for that reason finer details of both appeals are still being finalised. For the most up to date information from the foundation, please visit our website at https://www.wiltshirecf.org.uk/
