DEVIZES police were called to a phone mast in West Lavington yesterday after reports of four people climbing up it when they should have been obeying coronavirus emergency orders to stay at home.
A police spokesman said: "Officers were called to the mast on Strawberry Hill adue to a report of 4 people climbing up it.
"For obvious reasons this is dangerous. We know it’s a beautiful day but please take note of current advice and stay at home."
The post on the Devizes Facebook page outraged many people. One said: "I despair at this stupidity."
Another added: "Good grief.. as if the police don't have better things to do." .....
