Two more people who tested positive for coronavirus have died at Great Western Hospital, it has been confirmed.
One patient died on Thursday, March 26, and the other patient died a day later.
It brings the number of deaths at Great Western Hospital to five since the pandemic began.
A GWH spokeswoman said: “A woman, who died at the hospital on 26 March, was 100 years of age, and had underlying health conditions.
“A man, who died at the hospital on 27 March, was in his 50s, and also had underlying health conditions.
“The families of both patients have been informed. Our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time. Out of respect for their privacy we will not be commenting further.”
