WILTSHIRE police are reminding people to stay away from the county's beauty spots this Easter weekend as temperatures are set to reach 21C today and maybe even 23C tomorrow.
They say that Wiltshire's many lovely hillside spots are not going anywhere and will still be there after the coronavirus emergency end so to stay home and stay safe this bank holiday.
The reminder comes as the Canal and River Trust has put a banner along the Kennet & Avon Canal in Devizes warning people to think before they take to the tow path for exercise.
This has sparked a row on Facebook after people had differing views on whether or not cyclists and walkers should use the popular paths for their daily exercise.
Some have said the narrow sections of tow paths make it difficult for people to keep the recommended two metres apart.
But people all over Wiltshire were united yesterday evening when they came together to clap for key workers. Among those taking part were police in Devizes who parked in the Market Place and joined in the nation's clapping.
