SWINDONIANS have generally been observing social distancing over the bank holiday weekend.
Parks across the town including Coate Water and Faringdon Park were busy, but people were broadly following guidelines.
Leader of the council David Renard thanked the public's efforts and highlighted the importance of respecting social distancing measures.
He said: “I am delighted that Swindon residents are observing the current rules on social distancing. It is really important that we all do what we can to ensure that we don’t see a resurgence of coronavirus.
“Whilst protecting everyone’s health remains the top priority, we must move towards getting the economy back on track as this is also important for people’s health and wellbeing.”
