THE Adver’s business-backing campaign continues with a look at how Swindon's car showrooms are preparing to reopen on Monday.

Dick Lovett has BMW, Ferrari, specialist cars, and Mini dealerships around the town as well as a bodyshop.

A spokesman said: “All of our showrooms will open on Monday and of course,we have taken all guidance on board and will be operating under Covid-19 regulations.

"We will be adhering to social distancing at all times, setting up hand sanitisation stations, and encouraging calls ahead of visits to allow us to manage showroom traffic levels.

"High-touch areas will be frequently cleaned - cars will be sanitised, locked, opened for customers, then cleaned again before being locked again, etc.

"Desk screens will protect staff and customers. Only one customer at a time will be allowed in hand-over bays and staff can take customers through the car's features over a video call instead if they prefer.

"Delivery and collection of cars will ensure we provide the car the way the customer wants. We introduced a live chat online 9am to 9pm to be available as much as possible and help with all customer enquiries."

Our new campaign aims to help as many of the town’s businesses as possible, whether they’re pubs or plumbers, cafes or car mechanics.

We would like to hear from businesses about how they’ve been dealing with this unprecedented crisis. And we need you – our dedicated readers – to show your support and give them your custom to ensure they can survive until the lockdown lifts.
