YOUNGSTERS from a Corsham running club are covering 1,000 miles to raise money for the NHS.
Children aged from six to 12 and their parents are fundraising for NHS Charities Together.
Organiser Humphry Barnikel from the Corsham One Mile Club said: “The club is unable to meet because of the virus.
“However, between them 47 children are together running 1000 miles for NHS Charities Together. Parents run with their child/children on their own routes and give me the mileage done.
“We have made it into a virtual journey from John o’Groats to Lands End and the children are told about the sights that they could visit as each place is reached. We have visited places such as Edinburgh, York, Lincoln, Cambridge, Oxford and Bristol.”
So far the club has raised £1,530.
Sophia Hunt, 11, has managed to run 45 miles and ten other children have covered more than 30 miles.
