PEOPLE flocked to Swindon's parks this weekend to enjoy the warm weather as safely as possible.

Making the most of relaxed lockdown guidelines, families sat, sunbathed or strolled in the sunshine while trying to stay two metres away from people from other households.

Clear skies and temperatures of up to 23 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday brought several visitors to Coate Water, the Town Gardens, Lydiard Park and GWR Park.

The summer weather is forecast to continue throughout next week, with temperatures reaching highs of 25C on Monday and 24c on Tuesday before cooling slightly into the high teens.
