A new dad has appeared in court accused of driving the wrong way down Thamesdown Drive.
Robert Kill, 29, of Inglesham Road, Penhill, entered no pleas to a single charge of dangerous driving.
It is claimed he failed to stop for an officer on May 19, leading police on a 30 to 45-second chase that involved a Ford Focus being driven at 60mph in a 30mph zone before turning the wrong way down Thamesdown Drive in North Swindon. The chase was called off by officers.
He was granted bail and is due to appear before Swindon Crown Court on July 3 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
Under the conditions of his bail he must not get in the driver’s seat of any vehicle and must live and sleep at his home in Inglesham Road, Penhill.
He was represented in court by solicitor Tom Brymer.
