MINI-MARVEL Carmela Chillery-Watson has been nominated for Positive Role Model in the disability category with ITV National Diversity Awards.
And she needs your votes to get on the shortlist.
The Market Lavington youngster who suffers from a rare and progressive muscle wasting condition is a fearless fund raiser for Muscular Dystrophy UK.
"She does so much with a positive attitude even though she is fighting a losing battle and since lockdown she has provided weekly therapy exercise videos on social media to help others like her who can't visit their physiotherapists," said her Mum Lucy.
In the last few weeks, she has done a 2.6 Challenge, which replaced the London Marathon for Muscular Dystrophy UK, completing 26 laps of her home therapy assault course.
Just a few months ago, she braved the February cold to sell cakes outside her local Co Op, and raised £152.
Last year she starred in a radio campaign to raise awareness of how Gifts in Wills could boost the help given at Julia’s House children’s hospice in Devizes.
To be shortlisted for the top award, she needs lots of votes. The deadline is June 8 for all votes to be in.
