A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of his wife and daughter.
Appearing before Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court via video link from Melksham police station, Marcin Zdun, 39, of Wessex Road, Salisbury, entered no pleas to two charges of murder.
Wearing a grey tracksuit and flanked by police officers, he spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth. He was assisted by a Polish interpreter.
It is alleged he killed wife Aneta Zdun, 40, and their 18-year-old daughter Nikoleta Zdun at their home in Salisbury on Monday, June 1. Police were called to Wessex Road, in a suburb of the city, at around 2.45pm.
District Judge Tim Pattinson remanded Zdun in custody to appear before Winchester Crown Court on Friday, June 5.
He was represented in court by solicitor Matthew George. The Crown was represented by Kate Prince.
