One of Swindon’s main shopping centres has confirmed it will be reopening on June 15.
The Brunel in the town centre will welcome customers in 11 days' time with social distancing measures in place.
A spokeswoman for the centre said: “Following the UK government’s latest update we confirm that we are in the process of making the physical changes necessary to open the centre on 15 June.
“The safety of our customers, tenants and staff is paramount and we are following all government health and safety guidelines. We will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves and will be following all government advice.”
It is not clear what shops will reopen at the Brunel but the centre added that cafes and restaurants are not allowed to reopen for sit-down customers and will only offer takeaway or delivery.
