A woman was flown to hospital in Oxford with leg injuries after she was involved in a crash in Lechlade.

Gloucestershire Constabulary said the Hampshire woman, 60, was riding pillion on a KTM motorcycle involved in the crash with a Citroen van on the A417 at 12.55pm on Tuesday.

She suffered serious leg injuries and was flown to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, by air ambulance.

Her husband, 60, who was riding the motorcycle, suffered minor injuries. The van driver, a 32-year-old woman from Bibury, was not injured.

The road was shut for several hours. Police asked any witnesses to call 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
