A MAN was stabbed in the face during an attack by three others in Pinehurst last night.

Wiltshire Police were called to Beech Avenue following a report that a man in his 20s had been assaulted.

The victim suffered a puncture wound to his face and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Officers attended the scene and arrested three local men, aged 19, 21, and 24, on suspicion of Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent.

The 19-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of a number of other offences in relation to separate incidents – these include attempted GBH, GBH, failing to stop for police, dangerous driving and criminal damage to a police vehicle.

All three remain in custody for further questioning.

Insp Paul Hacker said: “This is a nasty incident which left the victim requiring hospital treatment for face and head injuries.

“Fortunately, these are not believed to be life threatening.

“This type of violence is simply not acceptable and a swift response by officers ensured three individuals were quickly arrested.”

Anyone with information should call Wiltshire Police on 101.
