The Wiltshire Wellbeing Hub will no longer be open at weekends from Friday, June 26 due to reduced demand.

Since its inception at the end of March, the hub has been open seven days a week to help vulnerable people during the pandemic – which was reduced to six days at the beginning of June.

Due to the reduction in the number of emails and calls to its hot line, Wiltshire Council has changed the opening hours to 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday – and will be closed on the weekends.

Wiltshire Council said that the emergency duty service will still be in place outside of these hours.

Cllr Laura Mayes, cabinet member for adult social care, public health and public protection said: "The Wiltshire Wellbeing Hub has proved to be a vital resource in helping vulnerable residents throughout this situation.

"However we have noticed a drop in calls and emails recently so this is the right time to move to opening the hub from Monday to Friday only.

“We will be here throughout the week so if there is anyone out there who feels isolated, unable to leave their home to get food or medicine or just need some additional help we will be available to provide that support."

The hub will close this Friday, June 26 and then re-open on Monday 29 June.

People can contact the hub via email at wellbeinghub@wiltshire.gov.uk or by calling 0300 003 4576.
