A MAN had a lucky escape after a car he was working on fell on top of him trapping him underneath.
The ambulance service was called to Hill Corner, Chippenham just before 4.30pm yesterday.
A spokesman for the South Western Ambulance Trust said: “We were called on Monday at 4.23pm to a report someone was trapped under a vehicle on Hill Corner Road, Chippenham.
"Our teams treated a male patient and transported him to hospital by land. His condition wasn’t thought to be too serious.”
It is understood that a family member managed to use a jack to partially free the victim before the ambulance arrived.
