Uncertainty has been in the air this week about which pubs will be open as people get ready to go back to their favourite locals.

But now Wadworth has issued a list of its tenanted houses that will open on Saturday and a timeframe for other pubs.

In Devizes area opening on Saturday are: Black Horse, Castle Hotel, Fox and Hounds, Moonrakers, Pelican, Bridge, Horton, Kings Arms, All Cannings and New Inn Coate, Greyhound, Bromham.

In Pewsey the Royal Oak and in Marlborough The Lamb and Oddfellows Manton.

In Chippenham area the Kingfisher and Wellesley Arms, Sutton Benger. In Corsham the Royal Oak.

In Melksham the Bell on the Common, Broughton Gifford and Old Ham Tree, Holt.

In Westbury The Crown and in Trowbridge, The Lamb and Farmhouse, Southwick.

In Bradford on Avon the Canal Tavern.

Wadworth CEO Chris Welham said: "A few more sites are looking to open during the week after or so including The White Bear and Cavalier, Devizes.

"A number of our other Business Partners are planning to opening within two weeks of the July 4th after seeing how other pubs are trading and understanding the implementation of the Covid protocols.

"In terms of our Managed Houses, we are looking to open the following on the 22nd/23rd July but obviously if we can reopen sooner we will."

The managed houses to open first are The Barge, Seend, Crown Devizes and Pheasant Chippenham.

Two or three weeks later is will be the Three Crowns, Devizes, White Hart, Wroughton, George and Red Lion at Lacock and Lansdown Arms at Derry Hill plus accommodation at The Black Swan, Devizes.
