The child injured in a car accident in Queens Drive yesterday was a 12-year-old boy.
The boy suffered minor injuries and was taken to Great Western Hospital for a check up.
Officers were called just before 7pm and shut Queens Drive in one direction from Drakes Way roundabout to Frobisher Drive while they dealt with the traffic accident.
A spokesman from South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said: “South Western Ambulance Service was called on Tuesday at 6.52pm about a collision involving a car and pedestrian on Queens Drive, Swindon.
“Our land and air ambulance teams treated a young person at the scene and transported him to hospital by land with a suspected head injury.”
