A TV talent show star is headlining at an online music festival this weekend to raise money for Diabetes UK.
Phoebe Maddison, 16, from North Swindon, is the Sunday headliner for the inaugural Swindon Summer Music Festival, live-streaming from Facebook this weekend.
The singer, who was coached by Pixie Lott on The Voice Kids in 2018, was diagnosed with type one diabetes when she was four years old.
She said: “I am so excited and honoured to be performing alongside many amazing artists from the Swindon area. Diabetes UK is an organization very close to my heart and I cannot wait to perform and help to raise as much money as possible.”
The festival is being organised by Jeanette Etherington and Nathanael Parker from Swindon singing duo Total Eclipse, with Sunday’s proceeds going to Diabetes UK, and Saturday’s fundraising to the British Heart Foundation.
The live-stream will start at 10.30am on Saturday.
