SALISBURY'S Wetherspoon staff have today revealed the pub's reopening date - August 20.
As previously reported, The King's Head Inn on Bridge Street, otherwise known as Salisbury Wetherspoon, closed its doors to the public on March 1 for a refurbishment costing more than £500,000.
These works were halted by the Covid-19 pandemic, but it was previously confirmed by the pub chain that this project would resume on Monday, July 6.
This followed the reopening of the hospitality sector, including pubs and restaurants.
Now, a spokesperson for Wetherspoon has confirmed the reopening date: "Building work has restarted on the pub and it is set to reopen on August 20."
The refurbishment will include a full redecoration of the pub, with new flooring installed throughout and changes to the seating.
Improvements to the kitchen area will take place, new glass racks and back bar decorations will be installed, and there will be improvements to the order and pay system.
