AMATEUR historian and author Lyn Dyson has thrown herself into village life since arriving in the village in 2001.
She used her time in lockdown to write an in-depth take on life in West Lavington, near Devizes and has produced a 300 page book.
Volume One of Life In Lockdown: West Lavington 2020 will raise money for the village youth club.
Many village stalwarts including Wiltshire councillor Richard Gamble and his wife Sandra, a former chairman of the parish council have contributed.
Her book charts life from the early warnings about coronavirus in February and into lockdown up until May. She went into isolation on March 13.
On March 22 Mrs Gamble wrote: “So far Richard and I are trying to self-isolate but the problem has been finding food.”
On March 23 as Lockdown started Lyn wrote: “Today the UK death toll is 335.” On March 29 farmer Pat Holloway added: “I have a heart condition so I am isolating. But we are lambing I cannot be home all the time.”
