THE heartbroken family of a little boy who lost his fight with leukaemia have been overwhelmed by the response to the devastating news.

Rory Holloran, from Devizes died just weeks before his fifth birthday and his funeral will be on Wednesday.

But now instead of just one Lamborghini leading his cortege along London Road, Devizes there will be two - one white and one black.

A large number of motorcycle outriders are also expected to take part after reading the story of Rory's tragic death in the Gazette.

Funeral director Paul McDonald said: "They family have been blown away by the response. So many people want to help."

Rory was a boy who loved super cars and motorbikes and he will be sent off in style as the cortege goes along London Road at about 12.15 on Wednesday on route to West Wiltshire Crematorium.

His family is asking people to line the road.

His parents Matt and Hannah said: “It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Rory.

“Rory passed away on July 20th 2020, at Charlton Farm Children’s Hospice in Bristol with his mum and dad by his side.

“He was a lover of the outdoors, supercars and many other things.

“Never has there been a braver stronger individual and yet the kindest soul anyone could meet. Rory touched so many people in his time and left irremovable memories with so many.

“He will be dearly and deeply missed by his family and everyone who knew him but will live strong in so many peoples memories.”

Rory was born on August 26th, 2015. He was a much loved son, brother, grandson, nephew and meant so much to many others.

Donations are being collected in memory of Rory for Charlton Farm Bristol Children’s Hospice which gave him exceptional care and offered support to his family.
