A CIRENCESTER man with a provisional licence has been fined more than £600 after being caught driving unsupervised and displaying no L plates.
Andrew Field, of Watermoor Road, had the case against him proved in his absence under the single justice procedure at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on July 29.
The 22-year-old unqualified driver was caught driving a Vauxhall Costa at Grove Lane, Cirencester, on October 18 last year, despite being unsupervised and displaying no L plates.
Magistrates also found Field guilty of driving with no insurance cover in place.
Field was fined £660 and ordered to pay costs of £151. Six penalty points were also added to his licence.
