The Central Library in the town centre is bringing back more and more customer facilities.

From this week, readers will be able to make an appointment to go in and browse a limited selection of the stock on the shelves.

Slots are available to book online or by phoning the library on 01793 463238. Users will be required to supply details, such as their name and phone number for test-and-trace purposes.

This “quick choice” facility will be introduced at the other libraries run by Swindon Borough Council, Highworth Library, North Swindon Library, Park Library and West Swindon Library starting next Monday.

From Tuesday, August 18, some public computers will be available for use at the central library in Regent Circus.

Users will need to book a 45-minute slot, by calling the library.

The other libraries run by the borough council will have this facility running from August 24.

Again users will have to supply test and trace details.

More details on facilities as they return and when they are rolled out is available at swindonlibraries.wordpress.com/2020/08/06/our-next-step/
