A drone and a police dog were used to track down a group of men seen in a field of hemp. Six men aged between 19 and 27 were arrested after police were alerted to suspicious activity at the Home Office licensed cannabis farm in Swindon on Sunday afternoon. A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: βItβs worth pointing out that these plants, which are legally produced under strict conditions, are a particular strain which cannot be used for recreational drug taking.β The men were all arrested on suspicion of theft, four of them are also suspected of going equipped for theft. They were released under investigation. The location of the farm has not been disclosed. Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
