RISING star Fayth Ifil shared a singing video on social media to remind people in her hometown to adhere to coronavirus measures.

The 42-second video posted on Swindon Borough Council’s Facebook page shows the 13-year-old Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist encouraging people to wash their hands, wear a mask, social distance and stay at home.

She said: “Everyone in Swindon has the talent to prevent the spread of Covid-19. If you develop Coronavirus symptoms, book a test online or call 119.

“Swindon: It’s all up to us.”

The Cricklade Manor Prep pupil performed Andra Day’s Stand up for Something in front of a virtual audience during the BGT semi-finals on September 5.

She made the top thee performances for the judges but had to face the public vote and must now wait to find out whether she has qualified for the final on October 10.

Fayth's rousing performance of Tina Turner's Proud Mary prompted Simon Cowell to press the golden buzzer in the heats, filmed before lockdown.
