Thursday's meeting of Swindon Borough Council's licensing committee must be one of the shortest in its history.
The committee was due to consider three matters, all concerning taxi and private hire vehicle drivers.
One agenda item was revisiting whether there is a need to mandate CCTV in all taxis and private hire cars as a safety and security measure for both drivers and passengers.
The committee discussed making it mandatory last year, but left it as something the council encouraged drivers to do.
Now the department for transport has said it would encourage council;s to make it compulsory, the matter has been revived.
Another report was on whether private hire drivers should be allowed to work for more than one operator, particularly doing airport and station jobs, and the last item was about emissions standards and the age of licensed vehicles.
Reports were not ready, so the matters were postponed until a date in early October.
