POWER tools were stolen from vehicles at four addresses in Purton.
The thefts happened overnight between September 22 and 23 in Ringsbury Close, Highridge Close, Dogridge and Upper Pavenhill.
Tradespeople have been warned by police to be on their guard.
A spokesperson for Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Police said: “If anyone has any Ring doorbell footage or their own CCTV that they think might help officers with their investigation In relation to this, please contact 101 and quote *95788 for Ringsburys Close, *95790 for Highridge Close, *95841 for Dogridge and *96195 for Upper Pavenhill.
“Please can we ask all trades to remain vigilant, mark tools where possible, if you have a driveway – back your van to the house so entry into your van is almost impossible. Where you can, tools should be removed from the van, eliminating it as a target.”
