MALMESBURY young artists were celebrated via a virtual ceremony on Friday.

The Malmesbury in Bloom art competition sponsored by the Standard, was held via Zoom due to social distancing restrictions.

All participants in the competition were given a goodie bag to say ‘thank you’ as the reception could not be held at the town hall.

The art competition encourages young artists in the town to get in touch with their creative side.

11-year-old Tabitha Hope was named as the winner of the 9-11 year age group, with her photograph of a fresh flower arrangement.

Jayden Patel was named as runner up, with Finn Young in third place.

Esmai Zebroski and Noah Carpenter were highly commended for their entries.

In the 5 - 8 year age group, first place went to Adam Kowalczyk, with his collage of flowers with natural objects.

Nicholas Jones was named as runner up, with Imogen Auty in third place. Gaby Palmer was highly commended for her submission of a vase of flowers.

And in the four years and under ago group, Rosalie Andreou was named winner for her collage of flowers.

All goodie bags and prizes can be collected from Malmesbury Town Hall.
