A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of affray and criminal damage after a 90 minute stand-off in the early hours.
Wiltshire Police confirmed officers had been called to reports of a disorder inside a building in Harding Street, Swindon town centre, at around 3.30am on Saturday, September 26.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “The occupant, who was alone inside the property, did not initially engage with officers, so there was a police presence in the street for around an hour-and-a-half.”
The stand-off reached a peaceful resolution at around 5am, police said.
A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and criminal damage. He was taken to Gablecross police station.
