The number of recorded coronavirus cases in Wiltshire increased by 15 over the weekend, official figures show.

Public Health England figures show that 1,625 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 4pm on Sunday, September 27 in Wiltshire, up from 1,610 on Friday.

The rate of infection in Wiltshire now stands at 325 cases per 100,000 people, far lower than the England average of 664.

Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 11,733 over the period, to 434,969.

Wiltshire's cases were among the 17,479 recorded across the South West, a figure which rose by 306 over the period.

Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
