Swindon's MPs have urged the public to print poppies for Remembrance Day.
It was announced on Thursday Swindon's annual Remembrance Day service at the town centre Cenotaph would not be going ahead.
Now North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson and South Swindon MP Robert Buckland have asked people to print poppies and decorate their windows.
A statement said: “Remembrance Sunday is an extremely important occasion in our nation’s calendar.
"It is a day for our nation to commemorate and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom.
"It will be of great disappointment to people here in Swindon that we will be unable to attend the parade and services.
“That doesn’t mean that Remembrance Day is cancelled, we just need to find other ways to come together as a local community to mark this occasion and pay our respects in a different way."
Printable Royal British Legion Poppies will be available on the MP's own websites and social media pages.
