CHILDREN at Staverton CofE Primary School have helped to donate food for 40 hampers to be provided as part of a Trowbridge Lions Club Children's Christmas Meal Appeal.
Trowbridge moulded packaging company Insit Moulded Packaging Ltd has teamed up with Trowbridge Lions to put together around 40 hampers for local families in need.
The Lions were unable to organise their traditional Santa Sleigh and carol-singing fundraising events this year because of the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.
Sonya Connor, IMP's sales and marketing research assistant, said: "We have received some amazing donations, including Tesco and Staverton CofE Primary School, which donated food items following a non-school uniform day on Friday."
The company, which is based in Aintree Avenue on the town's White Horse Business Park, will pack the food hampers on Friday (Nov 27) ready for the Lions to distribute.
Donations came from more than 15 individuals, companies, schools and other organisations, including Longscroft Children's Nursery School and the Tesco stores in County Way and on Frome Road in Trowbridge.
