Students at the Royal Agricultural University who cannot get to their accommodation on campus will be given back the rent they’ve already paid.
Under current lockdown rules, all classes at the college in Cirencester will be online only until the middle of February.
The university has said those students who are not living in their college-provided rooms between January 3 and February 20 will have their accommodation fees refunded.
Vice-chancellor Professor Joanna Price wrote to students last week: “In light of the current national lockdown and current government guidance that students should not return to campus until the middle of February, we have considered our position regarding accommodation fees.
“The university has agreed that a refund will be provided to students who are not in their on-campus accommodation for the period.”
There are a small number of students who remain on campus due to exceptional circumstances.
