A WILTSHIRE man will stand trial over allegations he threw plaster over a Swindon traffic warden.

Appearing before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, Robert Silk, 32, of Bradenstoke, pleaded not guilty to assault by beating and criminal damage.

It is alleged he threw plaster over a Swindon Borough Council traffic warden in Old Town on July 16 last year. At the time, an image of the plaster-hit warden was shared by Swindon council.

Silk, appearing before the court wearing a smart suit jacket, spoke only to confirm his personal details and enter his not guilty pleas.

He was bailed for the trial on August 5.
