Police have stopped a driver with a "made up registration" yesterday evening (January 14.)
Wiltshire Police's Special Constabulary unit had been patrolling the streets of Trowbridge when they came across a suspicious van.
The numberplate raised concerns among the officers who stopped the vehicle. It then emerged the driver had no insurance, no MOT, hadn't paid road tax and even had a made up registration to try and hide the catalogue of offences.
The unit tweeted: "A Specials unit spotted this van in Trowbridge this evening, numberplate raised suspicion, on investigation the true identity was found,
"Driver reported for offences, van seized."
Special Constables have served in Wiltshire since their definition was finalised under the Special Constables Act 1838.
