A virtual journey to the North Pole has been undertaken by staff at allmanhall, near Corsham. A total of £1046.13 has been raised for Cancer Research UK 2020.
The family-run food procurement expert company decided to walk the distance from their head office, in Box, to the North Pole by Christmas Day.
Starting on November 1, the team needed to complete 4224.5km to achieve their goal, through a combination of walking running and swimming. Around 30 of the team - and their families and dogs - took part.
The goal by the dedicated team by was reached by Christmas Eve.
“Working around the imposed restrictions that everyone was facing, this is a fabulous achievement for the whole team and a great way to come together, virtually,” said Jo Hall, People and Projects Director at allmanhall.
“We are so aware of the impact of exercise on wellbeing, so having a reason to get out in the fresh air and a goal with a worthwhile cause was a great way to end the year.”
The team are currently planning their next mission, with more exciting fundraising activities to come.
