A family in Trowbridge have appealed for help to find a missing Jack Russell terrier which is likely to die without access to veterinary drugs for a heart problem.
The Lamplough family at Cockhill are desperate for the return of their elderly dog called Dora who they inherited last October from a relative who died.
The 13-year-old pet went missing at 3.30pm on Monday when a garden gate was accidentally left open.
Her owner, Sarah Lamplough, said: “Dora must have got out and is now missing. We think that someone must have taken her because we haven’t found a body.
“Dora is partially sighted and partially blind and has a heart problem for which she needs medication twice a day. Without it, she will die."
Mrs Lamplough says the family have scoured the Cockhill and Broadmead estate area with help from a drone operator but Dora has not been found.
They have put up posters. Anyone with any information should contact the family on 01225 776961.
