A MAN has admitted a string of historic sex assaults on young girls.
Ben Kinderman, 38, was in his teens and early 20s when he molested two girls between 1997 and 2004. The girls were aged between eight and 14 when the assaults took place near Marlborough.
Appearing before Swindon Crown Court on Friday, Kinderman, now of Rustic Avenue, Streatham, pleaded guilty to four counts of indecent assault. He denied a fifth count alleging multiple indecent assaults on one victim between June 1997 and May 2004.
Judge Peter Crabtree bailed the man to return to court for sentence on April 12, telling the defendant’s lawyer that custody was “almost inevitable”. He said the intervening period on bail would allow Kinderman to get his affairs in order.
The judge added to Kinderman: “These are extremely serious offences, the starting point is a lengthy period in custody as you will have been told. But you’ve pleaded guilty - that will be important in avoiding a trial - and you were under 18 at the time you committed these offences.”
The defendant was ordered to register as a sex offender.
