SWINDON Children’s Scrapstore is continuing its efforts to keep vulnerable families stay fed throughout lockdown.
Last week it successfully distributed another 28 food parcels.
It has provided support since March 2020. when the pandemic began.
Staff and volunteers have since delivered more than 2,000 food parcels to the elderly and vulnerable in Swindon.
A spokesman for the Scrapstore said: “Our amazing staff and volunteer team have provided an essential service delivering free food parcels, creative resources and Christmas presents to people of all ages in our community.
“We have directly benefitted over 10,000 people through the work and services we have provided supporting local charities, groups, schools, nurseries and many more organisations.
“We are very grateful for all the donations we have received from our community which has enabled us to continue to support so many people during the coronavirus pandemic.”
