Contractors are expected to shut the motorway westbound between junctions 15 and 16 from 9pm tonight (Saturday) to 7am on Sunday morning.
Work on the Wichelstowe Southern Access, a new route into Wichelstowe below the M4, is progressing. For work to continue, the M4 will be closed tonight for westbound traffic, between junctions 15 and 16.

Highways England says traffic will be diverted via the A419 northbound to A4259 (Marlborough Road/Queens Drive) westbound to Cirencester Way/Great Western Way before rejoining the M4 at junction 16.
The closure is part of ongoing work on the Wichelstowe southern access scheme, building an underpass beneath the M4.
