PARK Yoga sessions are being launched in Queens Park next month with Covid secure measures.

Following the success of outdoor yoga in various locations across the South West over the last two years, organisers have decided to start new free classes in Swindon.

The Fine Family Foundation which supports charities working in the environment, the arts, education and health is funding the community project.

Administrator Katie Burden said: “We have seen Park Yoga grow in popularity over the last two years and are excited to be able to bring free outdoor yoga sessions to new locations for 2021. We hope that Park Yoga Swindon is just as successful and encourages both people that are new to yoga and those that regularly practice to improve their health and wellbeing in natural surroundings.”

Park Yoga Swindon is being supported by Wiltshire and Swindon Sport (WASP).

Dominique Oughton from WASP said: “We are so excited to be working with Park Yoga in three venues across Wiltshire. It’s such a great inclusive opportunity for everyone and anyone to come and enjoy yoga whether it be the first time or for those more experienced in the beautiful park surroundings we have here in Devizes, Swindon and Salisbury.”

Sessions start this Sunday morning from 9.30-10.30am and run until August 29.
