COUNTER-TERRORISM police have been given more time to question five suspects - including a 16-year-old boy from Swindon - following arrests on Saturday morning.
Three men, a woman and a teenager were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism under section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
On Sunday afternoon, a judge approved the granting to Counter Terrorism Policing North East of a warrant of further detention until Saturday May 8, if required.
The force can hold and question a 16-year-old boy from Stamford Close, a 28-year-old man from Anglesey, and three suspects from Keighley: a 29-year-old man, a 30-year-old man, and a 28-year-old woman.
Searches continue at the address in Keighley at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
