Scott Menham had his first paid gig at the age of 13.

The Old Town 21-year-old set up his entertainment business Menham Entertainment while still at Commonweal School in Swindon.

At 14, he was featured on BBC Wiltshire as one of the youngest entrepreneurs setting up a business in the town.

Scott's talents range from entertaining weddings and six-year-old birthday parties to producing his own tech house and commercial remixes.

He says his first job earned him £25 but now he earns much more: "I was really into sound and lighting in school.

"I always pushed myself into doing the sound and lighting in performances and liked to put shows on myself.

"At the age of 13, I asked my mum and dad for some equipment for Christmas, and they bought me some basic equipment, and then one of my mum's friends asked if I could do a party for one of their children.

"I got paid £25 and it's just gone from there. I'm doing bigger and bigger events and now it's a lot more than £25!"

Through Covid, the DJ been doing livestreams over Facebook and also held a fundraiser for the NHS where all profits from his blue logo clothing line went to the South West NHS Trust .

He was also voted in the top 3 Best DJs in Swindon on Three Best Rated, based on customer reviews and satisfaction.

He adds: "I love what I do. I'm my own boss. I struggled through school because I have ADHD and dyslexia.

"I would love to play at bigger events. I've had a few Bristol clubs contact me to DJ there, but obviously Covid has held this up.

"The events are the main thing, but my fun bit on the side is making my own music.

"My future plans are to improve my sound. I would love to 'bring the club' to people's events."
