A MELKSHAM road has received a dramatic facelift from the council’s highways team.
King Street in the town has been resurfaced recently with Wiltshire Council sharing before and after photos of the works.
The once crack peppered street has been given a new lease on life thanks to the resurfacing works.
A spokesman for the council said: “May was another busy month for our Highways Service with a number of repair works taking place across the county.

“The crew worked hard to resurface King Street in Melksham.”
In February, this year, the council received £22,924,000 from the Highways Maintenance Fund to fill pothole blighted roads.
Of that funding boost, £9m of the cash was specifically from the government’s Pothole Fund.
In 2020, MoneySuperMarket revealed that Wiltshire spent £69m filling in potholes since 2017 -- the highest spend of any local authority in the UK.
