Emergency services are in attendance at a crash on the A342.

Three fire crews from Chippenham, Calne and Devizes have been mobilised to the collision, which involves four cars. 

Police and ambulance are also on the scene.

They were first called around 11.15am, to Sandy Lane near Bromham.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “We are currently in attendance at a four-vehicle road traffic collision on Sandy Lane.

“Nobody is believed to be seriously injured, but officers are managing traffic.

“We would ask motorists to avoid the area while we wait for the scene to be cleared.”

A spokesman from the fire service said: "Four people had got themselves out when we arrived, two people remained in their vehicles.

"One was assisted out by ambulance personnel after examination; the second was brought out after firefighters removed the car door using hydraulic cutting equipment. Both were taken to hospital.

"Our stop was at 12.49pm."
