PUPILS in Purton have created a poster to highlight the importance of picking up litter and dog waste.
The parish council ran a poster competition in the area to help with the message of "pick up your litter and dog waste".
Councillor Charlotte Young has been working with local primary schools to design a poster for placement on the Wiltshire Council's dog waste bins.
One of the children said: " I know how important it is to pick up litter and dog waste, why doesn't everyone?"
Purton Parish Council has thanked the children of St Mary's C of E primary school for taking part of the initiative in a post on Facebook.
It says: "Thank you Zara Year One, Sebe, Wyatt, Amy and James Year 5 and Charlie Year 6 for your excellent handy-work in producing a combined poster which says it all.
"Each child received a £10 book token and the school a £50 book token towards their "50 best books" which can be spent at our local book store.
"Well done to all the children from St Mary's who participated in this campaign."
